As you know, last Sunday I visited the MK2 Studios with the rest of the Flickristi, and although I didn’t go there to shoot, Kurt dragged me to take a couple of pics, and this was exactly the amount of edits I will be posting.

Took 2 more of Fifru, which I will post on another day… no time to edit, but do enjoy these will you?

[A Surprise Visit]

Went to the newly opened MK2 Studios yesterday and guess who we found there… Mr. Fifru thought of passing by to give best wishes to the three people who worked hard to make this happen. With a sick mind he brought his favourite cup and newspaper which he read while hogging the studios for a couple of minutes.

A big Congratulations to Melvin, Kurt and Kris for their effort and hope the all the best for you guys.. as does Mr. Fifru.

I will post more from the MK2 studios in the coming days, but in the mean time… enjoy

I had one of those days when you can’t wait to get back home, and hide yourself in the closet. :D

Instead I browsed through the library and found this photo taken back in January with a Rough texture look. It fit the day and believe it if you may, I fit in all those holes. Good thing is, I always came back out.

[Red or Dead]

Red is synonymous with something rich and vibrant which is exactly how I love my coffee.

This pic/storyboard is very remiscent of my student days where I needed coffee to survive the late nights.

Shifting focus was very hard, especially since the model was uncooperative in setting the camera right.

Used my SB900 to light up the room (and reflect on my head, I’m sure you like that!) but the idiot forgot to take a pic of the set up.

The good thing about the shot is I got to drink that cup of coffee :D

MK2 Studios:

3 very good mates are opening up a new Photography studio in Malta. These guys are talented, and always a source of inspiration.

Very excited to see what the shoots they will be coming up with. Went there yesterday and helped out with some of the set-up… very proud!!

[Abstractish Enough?]

Never been one to copy styles as originality values very highly in my book. In fact one would argue that I developed my own so here is a little variance, dedicated to one who has opened up our minds in more ways than one! Here is to you Gremxul. Keep on inspiring us with your work and energy.

[After the Rain 2]

A bit on the down side this morning, so I headed out to the garden for some therapy. I guess life after some rain is a good way to analyze this point in my life.

I wish I was a snail too… not a care in the world and can go back in my shell whenever I want. Psycho analysis through photography, it’s a good one folks. I guess art really is a way to express one self, even subconsciously.

[I SEE YOU]

Sal, my cousin, asked to take a shot of the Vedetta in L-Isla. I finally managed to make it through this weekend and have sent over 3 shots for his consideration.

The Vedetta as you can quite imagine is a look-out, built by the Knights of Malta into the fortifications to protect the Port.

[A night time shoot]

In Support of Umida Akhmedova… please don’t let this stupidity continue.

As I stated at the beginning of the year, by the end of this year I will be conquering light. What better way to do this in the company of Friends. Went out with my dear Biscuits and we met Mr. Fifru for a second time since Christmas. Quite an interesting character which will expand over the rest of the year. Left pic taken by Daniel, right pic by Nicholai but edited by yours truly. I couldn’t take any photos of Mr. Fifru cause I was on the floor laughing at the time.

ABOUT Mr. FIFRU

So… we met this guy during Christmas Breakfast… I was enjoying my scrambled eggs when all of a sudden.. he sat at our table, introduced himself as Mr. Fifru and simply ate with us… he has become our good friend and agreed to meet us every month as long as he gets his tea with him. He would like us (biscuits) to take him round our island and discover it… rigorously by night!! My fellow biscuits will add on to the story.. so watch out for their contributions!!

[JUMP!]

This is my entry for the JUMP! challenge, a monthly challenge Flickristi have come up with to keep our own creative juices flowing.

I wanted to give more angle to the first shot but I ended up using the 50mm so my options were a bit diminished there. Still liked how it turned out. The other frame I went for a starburst motion with the 18-200mm to simulate an adrenaline kick - the same you get when you ride a roller coaster - some call it tunneling of vision. Yes adrenaline does that to you. Fight, Flight or Fright people, it keeps your heart pumping :D

Went back to the place where I took my first successful and one of my best HDRs.

The moon wasn’t out, although it featured quite a lot in my Holiday, the time wasn’t as dark, but I was still mesmerized by the beauty.

Textured this HDr to make it different. Hope you’ll enjoy!
